PayPal receive option in Serbia by late 2014?

National Bank of Serbia announced today that it is expected that the PayPal receive option will be introduced for Serbian residents by late 2014.

NBS recommends that banks exchange flood-damaged banknotes free-of-charge

National Bank of Serbia recommends that banks should not charge any fee to legal and natural persons for the exchange of those banknotes in the affected areas until 31 August 2014.

Redesigned $100 note issued on 8 October 2013

The Federal Reserve Board announced that on Tuesday, October 8, 2013, the redesigned $100 note began circulating. The redesigned $100 note includes two new security features: a blue 3-D security ribbon with images of bells and 100s, and a color-changing bell in an inkwell.

Time to check your money - Swedish korona 50 and 1000

There are currently two versions of the 50 and 1,000-krona banknotes. It is the older versions, those without a foil strip, that will become invalid after 31 December 2013. The newer versions, with a foil strip, will remain valid.

Bank FX rates for EUR differ from middle rate by maximum 2.1%

In the case of the euro which is the most traded currency in our market, the difference between the average buying and selling rates for foreign exchange in July and the corresponding official middle exchange rates published by the NBS was maximum 2.1%.

ECB report shows fall in card fraud

Card fraud has been on a declining trend since 2007, thanks to technological advances that are making transactions safer. Canada’s new and more secure $5 and $10 polymer banknotes will begin circulating, at the same time, in November 2013.

Latvia to adopt euro on 1 January 2014

Euro notes and coins will be issued in Latvia on 1 January 2014. The conversion rate is set at 0.702804 Latvian lats to one euro.
